Dreams of Tomorrow

Stag leap
then follow
I think
and then dream
that tomorrow
my sorrow
can carve out a path
for what once could be
That now
never was
I leave tomorrow
In the wake of yesterday
I believe
In a future
If it’s meant to be Today
I hope to live
For once
In the rhythm of the day
But I cannot leave the cloud that engulfs me
which I ask it to do
Leaving the chains of my master
is leaving the chains of You
And I make You and I redundant
it is true
We are the same
But opposing
it is blue
We are the name
But composing
A figure so ghastly with misdirection it recedes into a transgression of an ambiguous Me
Free to be anything but
Leave it to me
to be anything,
But
I shall stymie this not-a-hope but an absolute certainty
Tainted by nothing
Now tainted by Sin
So that it goes nowhere
Only sideways into itself
Spiraling all the way
At least I am somewhere
Today
