petals shake
until autumn breaks
the winter is coming
ice cracks
and moves way, for sunbeams and petalumas
pollen disintegrates
while the last bit of freshness
dies in its wake
dry land is around the corner
more space for less noise
the ground can’t falter
nor the sky come down on you with clouds, barely feeling anything at all
if it can’t go any lower
